You are about to embark on a journey of great significance, one that will have a deep and meaningful impact on your life and the lives of others. In doing so, you will need the assistance of family, friends, employees and a group of professional people to help you reach your goals.
This journey is about your goals, dreams and objectives; however, we know from experience that there are people in everyone’s life that can have an influential opinion on the decisions we make.
This is why a Prime Directive is more than just setting goals or beginning with the end in mind. We need to be clear about our personal goals but also identify the situations that may come up in our quest to accomplishing them. This way, we align our goals with our core beliefs and principles to make sure we have peace of mind from the decisions we make, especially when our decisions affect others.
Clarifying your Prime Directive ensures that everyone involved in helping you reach your goals understands that it’s not just about money. It’s about reaching them with fairness and integrity. It’s about what you believe in.
Three Stage Process:
Stage 1: Establish the Prime Directive
These are clearly defined personal, family and business goals and objectives from the owners’ point of view. We also identify who will have influential input at major decision points.
This stage sets the True North that will give direction to your plan and guidance to everyone helping you.
Stage 2: Analysis & Recommendations
We break down the issues to determine what needs to be worked on, and identify who needs to be involved, opportunities, vulnerabilities and potential strategies to meet the goals established in your Prime Directive.
This stage is about determining what works, what doesn’t and what could be done to improve value and reduce risk.
Stage 3: Implementation
Using the findings from stages 1 and 2 of the Reverse Business Plan® we can create an action plan that prioritizes the issues, establishes timelines and identifies support systems to accomplish these objectives.
Implementation is how you reach your goals and begin to engage your future now.
